Full course description

Learning Group Description:

Overwhelmed by conditions in schools and undervalued and demeaned in a hyper-partisan sociopolitical context, teachers, administrators, and other educational professionals are resigning at alarming rates. Schools desperately need renewal. To “renew” signifies replenishing and restoring to a flourishing state. This PLC seeks to provide a forum for teachers, administrators, and other educational professionals working in schools to critically examine the conditions that impede them from enacting their vocation. Working in community, you will build your capacity to design solutions to problems you encounter, with a particular focus on establishing and maintaining work-life balance, attending to mental health and wellness, creating space for reflection, engaging in constructive, collegial feedback, and setting boundaries and managing up.

This learning group will meet virtually on alternating Mondays from 7:30 - 8:30 PM (EST) from September 18 to November 27, 2023.
