Module Description:
In this third course, you will be introduced to the facilitation of the instructional design process with a focus on stakeholder management, requirements elicitation, and design documentation. You will learn the importance of managing the collaborative design process with subject matter experts (SMEs) as well as the steps required to develop a comprehensive design 'blueprint' which can be utilized to transition an instructional design project from the ideation phase to the prototype phase.

- Utilize design ideation techniques to facilitate the instructional design process and elicit creative contributions from subject matter experts (SMEs).
- Develop modular blueprints to document the iterative design process and to facilitate feedback, prototyping, evaluation, and development.
- Integrate stakeholder management and project facilitation techniques to influence and guide instructional design projects to completion.
- Establish and utilize instructional design standards to evaluate effectiveness of designs and to guide iterative improvement.
Program Description:
The certificate in Instructional Design for Learning aims to develop individuals with skills and knowledge to step into the field as instructional designers. The non-credit micro-credentials are meant to serve as rigorous, skill-based, applied, five to six month offerings taught by practitioners in the field. Certificate students will develop workforce-ready instructional design skills through the development of a portfolio demonstrating their competency in instructional design.Timeline and Requirements:
The module will take place from January 8th - February 9th, 2024. Work will primarily be asynchronous, with one live session per module with your facilitator and your cohort during the third Wednesday of the module from 7:00 - 8:30 pm.Fees & Policies:
Payment is due by credit card at registration. This module can only be taken as part of the Foundational Certificate: Instructional Design For Learning. Registration closes October 1st at 11:55pm. Refunds will be granted only up until registration closes.
