Module Objective:

Explore the practical use of Instructional Systems Design models and emergent practices in learning experience design.

Program Description:

The Foundational Certificate in Instructional Design for Learning aims to develop individuals with skills and knowledge to step into the field as instructional designers. The non-credit micro-credentials are meant to serve as rigorous, skill-based, and applied offerings taught by practitioners in the field over five to six months. Certificate students will develop workforce-ready instructional design skills through the development of a portfolio that demonstrates their newfound skills and competency.

Timeline and Requirements:

The module will take place from March 6th  - April 2023. Work will primarily be asynchronous, with one live session per module with your facilitator and your cohort.

Fees & Policies:

Fees & Policies: Payment is due by credit card at registration. This module can only be taken as part of the Foundational Certificate: Instructional Design For Learning. Registration closes January 22nd at 5pm. Refunds will be granted only up until registration closes at 5pm on Janurary 22nd. No refunds will be granted for registration or technical errors on the participant's part (such as incorrect name/email, login failure, etc.).

Presenter:

Carol Damm, MEd, is Asst. Director of Learning Design at the Center for Digital Innovation in Learning at Boston College. Carol has over 14 years of experience in the fields of instructional design and communications in both for-profit, K-12, and Higher Education. She consults and presents on Learning Experience Design informed by her experience in website management, strategic planning, and instructional design. Carol's research interests focus on adult learners’ motivation and drive in order to effectively develop courses and programs that will contribute to their success in professional and personal advancement.
